Who can use Mimbo

A parent or legal guardian, 18 or older, creates the family account, accepts these terms and adds each child. Children use Mimbo in the family account, with the settings and permissions their grown-up chooses. Mimbo isn't available in every country yet.

Your account

Keep your password and parent PIN to yourself: they open the Parent Zone, where purchases, sharing and permissions are decided. You're responsible for activity in your family account. Tell us at hello@mimbo.app if you think someone else has used it.

What your family creates

The ideas, characters and stories your family makes are yours. You give us permission to process, store and show them to your family so Mimbo can make and play your episodes, and, only for episodes a grown-up approves for sharing, to show them in the community. You can stop sharing or delete creations at any time.

Episodes are made with generative technology. Like any creative tool, results can surprise you: if something looks wrong, report it in the app and we'll look at it.

Keeping Mimbo kind and safe

• No personal information in ideas or names: no full names, addresses, schools or phone numbers.
• Nothing hurtful, scary for younger kids, or meant to upset someone.
• Don't try to get around the parent gate, safety checks or limits, or use Mimbo to copy other people's characters.

Safety checks run before anything is shown. We may keep content private, remove it or limit an account when these rules aren't followed, and we'll tell the grown-up why.

Credits

Making an episode uses credits. Plans include credits each month and grown-ups can buy credit packs. Credits are for making things in Mimbo only: they have no cash value and can't be sold, transferred or exchanged for money.

Subscriptions and payment

• The Family and Studio plans are subscriptions bought in the App Store, Google Play or, where offered, on the web.
• They renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. Payment is charged to your store account.
• Cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions (or the billing page for web purchases). Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• Refunds follow the rules of the store you paid through.
• Purchases are made by a grown-up behind the parent gate; children never see a price.

Changes to Mimbo and these terms

Mimbo will keep changing as we improve it. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell grown-ups in the app before the change applies.

Ending your account

You can delete a child's profile or the whole account in the Parent Zone under Privacy & data. We may close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information.
